Creating a New Goal
To create a financial goal in Cashvelope:
- Navigate to the "Goals" tab in the app
- Tap the "+" button to add a new goal
- Select the goal type (Savings, Debt Reduction, or Investment)
- Enter a name for your goal
- Set your target amount
- Choose a target date (optional)
- Select a category icon (optional)
- Tap "Create Goal"
Goal Details and Configuration
After creating a goal, you can configure additional settings:
Funding Your Goal
Set up regular contributions:
- Open your goal details
- Tap "Set Contribution"
- Choose contribution frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
- Enter contribution amount

Linking to Envelopes
Connect your goal to a specific envelope:
- From goal details, tap "Link Envelope"
- Select an existing envelope or create a new one
- Choose whether to automatically transfer funds
Setting Milestones

- From goal details, tap "Add Milestone"
- Enter milestone amount or percentage
- Add a description (e.g., "25% saved" or "First $1,000")
- Set rewards for reaching milestones (optional)
Tracking Goal Progress

Visual Progress Indicators
- Progress bar showing percentage complete

Goal Analytics
Access detailed insights about your goal:
- Tap on a goal to view details
- Scroll to the "Analytics" section
- View metrics such as:
- Average monthly contribution

Goal Adjustments
Modify your goals as circumstances change:
- Open goal details
- Tap "Edit Goal"

Goal Completion

- You'll receive a congratulatory notification
- The goal will be marked as "Completed" in your goals list
- You can choose to:

- Create a similar new goal
